About H.M. Hodgson

Imagination is more important than knowledge - Albert Einstein

The moment that Enid Blyton introduced me to the Faraway Tree, my love for all things books was ignited. It grew with Trixie Beldon and her marvellous mysteries, and I had my first literary crush on Jim Frayne. Anne Mc Caffrey's Dragons of Pern and David Edding's Belgariad drew me into the world of fantasy. And then Johanna Lindsay (read in secret from my mother's bookcase) introduced me to romance - the steamy kind! I've always loved stories - and creating my own has been the natural evolution of my reading, a love for what makes people tick, and the fantastic places that we can imagine.

Today, I write about romance (steamy scenes a must!) and magic. Magic that moves worlds and takes me to another place. My books are set in the misty foothills of Gippsland, Victoria – my childhood home - and while I live in Brisbane, QLD, the forests and farms of Victoria still hold my heart and imagination to this day.

I'm a mother of two munchkins (plus eight chickens), wife of one, and after fifteen years in the corporate world, am following my passion for the written word.
